Articles of Faith

I had someone give me the suggestion the other day to make some simple flashcards to help children memorize the Articles of Faith.
I thought it was such a cute idea and thought I would share what I came up with!

I made a front and back for each Article of Faith flashcard
On one side, it shows the actual Article of Faith.
On the other side, it shows a picture and a word associated with the Article of Faith
(to be used as a reminder as the child is learning and practicing).

My thought was that both sides could be printed and glued together.
You could either keep the flashcards separate
or you could punch a hole in the corner of the flashcards and put them on a small ring.
I personally like  the idea of putting them on a ring because it will help keep the cards together.
Also, below is a front cover and back cover if you decide to put them on a ring!

Please enjoy!

PLEASE NOTE: I created these designs in 2013. Since designing these cards, my old laptop crashed and I lost the original designs. So sad! The only files I have for these older designs are the JPEG's below. However, recently I have designed NEW Article of Faith Flashcards that coordinate with my Primary 2017 designs.

You can find out more information on these Article of Faith Items HERE.

OLD ARTICLE OF FAITH CARDS

(you can download them by right clicking on the picture and selecting "save image as"...
you can copy and paste the images in a word document and manipulate the size as desired)

  1. I have just been called to be the Primary President and have been looking for a fun AofF something. My teenage daughters and I were just reviewing the AofF last night. These are wonderful. Just a FYI in number 9 there are a couple of words missing ...many great... Thanks for all of your time and effort. Your work is wonderful!!!

    1. Ah I am so glad you noticed! I was working on these pretty late and tried hard to make sure that everything was correct, but I guess that is what staying up working on projects will do to you! Thanks for noticing and I hope you and your daughter are able to use them!

  5. You are an answer to my prayers this week. These are PERFECT! I've been secretly hoping you would move to your new ward and switch from YW to Primary, like I recently did, so I can keep using all of your amazing handouts.

I want to make these giant (8 1/2 x 11), but when I resize them they look sort of pixelated. Do you have a higher resolution version, by chance? I would be willing to pay for them. My e-mail address is: kimdubois (at) gmail dot com.

    Thank you SOOO much!!!

    1. Hey Kim! I am more than happy to make some larger identical prints! I won't be able to do it though until next week, just because I am in the middle of a move this weekend! Keep an eye out and I will let you know when I post them!!!

    2. Thanks! You are awesomesauce. Good luck with the move!

    3. Courtney, these are amazing! I had them printed at Costco this morning to make a quiet book but they weren't so crisp once printed. Can I also get a higher resolution copy? More than happy to pay for it too. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    4. Thanks for your sweet comments! I have heard that when people are trying to print them as an actual photo they are coming out a bit fuzzy. I am thinking that is because I have the resolution set for a 3.5 x 5 print. I know a lot of people have been requesting different sizes, so I am planning on creating the images in also a 4x6 and 8x10 so people can go and print them off as desired.

I apologize for any inconvenience! Life is pretty busy so it will probably be in the next week or so that i get those posted, so just keep an eye out!

Again I appreciate your kind words and thanks so much for visiting our blog! Please let me know if you need anything else!

  7. I am just wondering how you learned to make all these printables/handouts? I LOVE them. I am really wanting to learn how to make them, but have no idea where to even start. Do you have any suggestions?

    1. Hey Kelsey! You are too sweet! Thanks for visiting our blog! I use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for everything. Honestly I have never had any training on the program, I just decided to buy it, and have learned A LOT from just playing around with it. I am a very hands on learner so that worked for me! This information probably wasn't helpful at all, but that is how I started (and am still starting). Good luck!!!

  15. These are so great! I love your work however I did notice on Article of Faith number 5 there is a small typo it should read "We believe that a man must be called of God..." instead of "We believe that men must be called of God..."
    Thanks

  16. HOLY COW! You never cease to amaze me! These are darling!!! Thanks Courtney!

  17. I really like your cards, but you have two other errors that I noticed. In # 5 it should say, "a man" must be called of God, not "men".
Also in # 13, it should say 'and hope to "be able to" endure all things'.

I think it would be great to give these to the kids in our Primary. Thank you for making these up.

    1. What a cute idea! I would be more than happy to alter the size for you! Thanks for asking! Because I have had so many requests to manipulate my handouts and designs, I am starting to charge a small fee for my time and efforts as I go back and customize the designs. This will allow me to continue to create and design weekly free ideas on my blog for the primary, young women, and missionary work!
It's only $5.00, and if you are interested, you can place your order here http://www.etsy.com/shop/CourtneyAitkenDesign and I can have them done for you within 48 hours!

Hope to hear from you soon!

    1. So I actually do not send out my templates anymore because I ran into some problems (people changing the integrity of the design, plagiarizing, etc.) so now, I only post one images that cannot be altered. I hope you can understand!

I would however be more than happy to create the images in Portdguese for you! I just charge $5.00 for the extra time I would be putting into re-creating those images (charging a small fee allows me to continue to provide free images and handouts on my blog!) I hope you can understand! If it is something that you are still interested in you can place your order here (http://www.etsy.com/shop/CourtneyAitkenDesign!
