Okay, just another quick idea!
I can't resist---this one was just so easy, and turned out great!
This week for mutual, the girls decided they wanted to make
GENERAL CONFERENCE JOURNALS.
I mean seriously---what a darling idea, right?
We decided to keep the project simple.
We bought some cheap leather composition notebooks.
I went ahead and created some tabs for each of the general authorities.
We cut out a tab for each of the apostles and first presidency.
(The tabs included their name and picture).
We took tape and gave the pictures a quick laminating job in order to keep the tabs a little more firm.
After laminating the pictures, we layered the tabs throughout the notebook
(giving a few pages to each general authority in order to use the notebook in the future).
We are all sure excited to use our general conference notebooks this weekend!
It will allow us all to record some of the sweet promptings we receive.
Feel free to use and share this idea...
It sure was a huge hit with our young women!
You can download the tabs I created HERE!
Do you have a file for the tabs and pictures you used... so awesome.

this was amazing. I got to you by way of Jocelyn Christensen, downloaded the file, off to OfficeMax I went so they could print these off (better than my printer). Bought books for each of my VTees and husband and me...and now we are all set. Each VTee was over the top thrilled with the gift. thank you for sharing the Lord's genius to you with each of us who aren't as capable but happy to be able to share yours.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute - thanks for the free download!
ReplyDeleteI just sent you an email for the tabs!! Cant wait to put these notebooks together.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much,
Amanda
I have been trying to find this forever!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteI know it should be simple, but how did you adhere the tabs to the pages? Also, I haven't seen leather composition notebooks. Did you get them at an office supply store or someplace like Target or Walmart? Thanks! This is awesome! I am doing this with my YW and I hope they will use it for a while. Have you thought about adding tabs for the RS and YW general presidencies? That would be great! BTW- I think you are totally talented and pretty amazing! I love your handouts for YW. I don't go anywhere else if I need something, I always check here first! :)

ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks! We did this in 2009 with the YW, but there have been changes and my notebook is about full. Excited to make a new notebook for myself. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all of your AWESOME printables! I use them often!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I am doing this with my Activity Day Girls~
ReplyDeleteAfter you laminated the tabs, what did you use to make the tabs stick to the notebook paper? And when did you use tape and what kind?
ReplyDeleteThank You
This is a fabulous idea. My daughter did this for activity days! I loved it so much that I am going to have each of my kids make one. We have a couple more apostles now, I would love it if you would add them to your wonderful idea!
